Setting up the Castleton to burn air from outside the house

OUTSIDE AIR SUPPLIED FROM CRAWLSPACE
Outside Combustion Air through floor diagram
Bolt the optional outside air adapter to the Castleton at bottom rear. Attach a length of 3" rigid or flexible aluminum pipe to the intake collar with a 3" pipe clamp, then elbow down through a 3-1/8" hole in the floor behind the stove, extending the pipe below the floor joists and insulation. Caulk around the pipe where it penetrates the floor and use silicone cement to glue on a piece of 1/4" wire rodent mesh at the bottom. Note: Manufactured Home installations require 4" intake pipe. Manufactured Home Outside Air Kit with 4" increaser must be purchased for mobile home installations.
