MASONRY OR METAL FLUES: INSTALLING THE CO-LINEAR LINER KIT
The co-linear (side by side) liner configuration enables installation without removing the fireplace damper assembly. Mark, cut and form the top sealer plate to fit the masonry flue liner at the top of the existing chimney as shown at right. Determine the liner length needed by measuring from the top of the chimney to the fireplace floor. Cut the exhaust length from the 35' length of 4" flexible aluminum liner supplied, cut the intake length from the 35' length of 3" flex, and attach them to the intake and exhaust ports on the underside of the top sealer plate with pipe clamps or sheet metal screws and silicone sealant. Fish the liners down through the fireplace damper below. Glue the top sealer plate to the masonry flue liner with silicone adhesive and twist-lock the rain cap onto the top. Down below, use clamps or screws and silicone sealant to attach the intake and exhaust liners to the slide-in vent adapter, which is used to connect the liners to the insert.
Note: maximum allowable exhaust liner height is 35 feet.

GAS HOOKUP: The 3/8" gas inlet is located near left/right center of insert, just behind bottom grill, threads pointing to right. to make the connection, thread a 3/8" X 36" stainless flex connector through the rectangular opening in right side panel, located 3" behind the front panel and 1" up from bottom.
