When the Tribute DV is installed inside or in front of an existing fireplace, use a co-linear intake/exhaust system.

If the Tribute DV is to stand inside the fireplace as shown in Diagram A, a co-linear converter is attached directly to the rear exhaust collar: if the Tribute DV is to stand outside the fireplace on the hearth as shown in Diagram B, a length of co-axial pipe is used between the converter and the exhaust collar. The converter is then connected to a similar box at the flue top by two lengths of 3" aluminum flex, one for intake and one for exhaust. A coaxial rain cap completes the installation. With this system, combustion air is contained within the intake flex so it can't enter the room through the fireplace opening.

Minimum Fireplace Opening Height:
For inside the fireplace installations (Diagram A): 24-3/8"
For hearth installations (Diagram B): 20"

Note: The 3" aluminum liners are small enough to snake right through the fireplace damper opening, and flexible enough to allow the bottom converter box to be oriented sideways for hearth installation.
